The Egyptian army killed 12 suspected jihadist terrorists on Saturday in the north Sinai town of Sheikh Zuweid, a town an hour away from the Gaza border, according to the Egyptain army spokesman, Mohamed Samir.
In the Saturday attack, the Egyptian troops also arrested 11 terror suspects and six hours who already had arrest warrants. They destroyed 36 houses and 40 huts that allegedly behonged to the terrorists.
Two days before, on Thursday, Egyptian army troops destroyed a vehicle in Rafah carrying Grad rockets. The rockets were smuggled from Gaza through a tunnel, a security source told Egyptian news source Aswat Masriya. The source said that the rockets were going to be fired at Israel by terrorists in the southern part of Rafah, an Egyptian town bordering the Gaza Strip.
